Do you believe in Angels?
I’m always being asked
Do you believe in the celestial body?
Dropped from heaven to perform such miraculous tasks
Do you believe in a winged seraph in human form?
That wrap their wings around you, to protect and keep you warm
Do you believe in their perfect nature?
Whose beauty masks an ugly world
Where one look will transfix and make us feel unconcerned
Do you believe in the energy of halos?
Surrounding their spiritual heads
And the forgiveness they wield or so it’s always said
Do you believe in their purity and kindliness?
That seem so hard to deny
And the goodness, selflessness and charity
Or do you believe it’s lies
Do you believe in Angels?
I’m always being asked
I’ve always replied no
Why can’t they let it go?
But just last week I changed my mind
I do believe in Angels
